FAQ
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SHOOTING STYLE?
Photo documentary meets fine art. The thing that originally drew me to weddings was the ability to capture real people experiencing really special moments, so that’s always my approach to shooting. In addition to this, one of my favourite parts of the day is when we get to spend some quality time shooting creative portraits with the bride and groom. For a better idea of our style, definitely check out some of our recent weddings.
SO WE'RE SUPER AWKARD IN PICTURES...
Not to worry – I’m actually pretty awkward in front of the camera myself! That’s one of the reasons I encourage my couples to do an engagement shoot; it gives us a chance to hang out, find our groove, and make you feel comfortable before the big day!
HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHERS WILL BE SHOOTING MY WEDDING?
There will always be two photographers there to capture your day! Lindsay is the primary shooter and will always be the lead at weddings, in addition to a second shooter.
HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE?
A ton! This will always vary a bit depending on your day and how long we shoot & the events of each wedding, but, on average, we deliver approximately 80 - 100 photos for each hour of coverage.
WHEN ARE OUR IMAGES DELIVERED?
Your images are delivered approximately 10 – 12 weeks from your wedding day.
YOU USED TO LIVE IN JAPAN! DO YOU SPEAK JAPANESE?
Kind of! My Japanese is pretty conversational these days, but my husband is Aaron is fluent. He’s also fluent in Spanish, so if you’re planning a wedding in Spain or Central/South America… ;)
WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
I shoot with professional Canon camera bodies and a variety of Canon L and Sigma Art lenses.
DO YOU HAVE BACKUP EQUIPMENT?
Absolutely! I have backups for my backups.
DO YOU SHOOT VIDEO?
No, I don’t. While Koyo has shot wedding videos in the past, I am currently putting all my effort into my first love: photography. I can, however, recommend some amazing wedding videographers!
HOW DO WE BOOK YOU FOR OUR WEDDING DATE?
To secure the date, I require a signed contract and a $1000 deposit. After that, I’m all yours!
